School Meals & Snacks
School Meals/Snacks and Fruit
School no longer takes cash for school meals. We are using an online cashless payment system called ParentPay and parents are required to activate an account if they wish their child to have paid school meals.
Dinner money for the whole week should be paid via ParentPay by no later than Monday morning or the first working day of the week, children should not change from dinners to sandwiches except at the start of each half term.
Please contact the school office if you would like further information about the menu or have questions about specific dietary requirements. Our catering provider is SIPS Education Catering Service, a team of professional caterers with over 30 years’ experience.
In Key Stage 1, we participate in the “National Fruit in Schools Scheme” whereby all children up to age of 7 years receive a free piece of fruit each day. In Key Stage 2, children may bring their own fruit or healthy snack.
We value your support in this respect and urge you to ensure that your children do not bring sweets or chocolate into school, including in their lunch boxes for those that have a packed lunch. Children will not be allowed to eat this type of snack.
Drinks in school
Please do not send glass bottles, cans or fizzy drinks to school.
Fresh drinking water is available at all times in the classroom and from the water fountain in Key Stage 2. In addition to this we have a school policy of allowing all children to bring their own supply of bottled plain water into school to drink on an “as needed” basis. This must be in re-sealable, 500ml plastic bottles which will be kept in the classroom. Please do not send in drinks from home other than water.
Breaktimes
For children not having milk, fruit juice is sold for morning break (£1 per week) and any profit goes into school funds for the benefit of the children. Please do not send in drinks from home other than water.
Lunchtimes
