Safer Internet Day 2023

We celebrated Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 7th February.  The theme this year was 'Want to talk about it?'.  We held assemblies in school and spent the afternoon exploring activities to encourage discussion on what the children do online.  We celebrated all the fun things the children do online; watching movies, playing games, video calling family and discussed things that may worry or distress them online.  We would love to share some of the children's work from Safer Internet Day with you.  If you have any questions about staying safe online or wish to make a comment on any of the work you see below please email lfindon@tividale-pri.sandwell.sch.uk.

Year 2

In year 2 children read a story called Hanni and the Magic Window.  After discussing the story they then created pictures to show how Hanni was feeling before and after she chatted about her feelings.

 

Year 3

 In year 3 children discussed all the things they enjoy doing online.  They discussed the use of age appropriate sites and made posters about You Tube Kids. 

 

Year 4

In year 4 children created voice recordings.  They working in pairs/groups to plan, write a script and record their own 'radio' recording.
